Greetings fellow citizens of the universe!  The wild and wooly world of Wizard Boots rolls on…the stomp of the Crabbit’s mighty hooves never far behind.  Some recent developments:  Project Garage Exile is officially closed.  We got a lot of lovely madness recorded in two months at The Holladay House including a couple of outtakes from the new album that will eventually be available for free on the Wizard Boots Soundcloud site.  And speaking of the new album, “Bugger’s Banquet” is nearly complete….I know I’ve been saying this for months, but this time it really is.  By December we’ll have a track listing and maybe even an album cover!  In other news, the rumors of a new band member were premature….Wizard Boots is still a trio, with the occasional harp wailings of Mr. Craig King.  We’ll be playing a couple of soon to be announced gigs in December also….and hopefully get down to shooting a couple of new videos.  Gosh and by golly, we just love making those videos!  And now as autumn’s glory enshrouds the breathtaking Northwestern landscape and we hunker down in anticipation of the icy clutch of winter….I say, get ready to get ready.  The world will go on if you want it to….and dammit I want it to.

Here’s a couple of photos from the Haunted Barn Halloween Party a couple of weeks ago…..The MAN shut us down about thirty minutes into the set, but to be fair to The MAN….he was actually really cool about it and even allowed us to play the big boom crash ending of the last note of whatever song we were playing.   Fall into The Fall….see you soon lovelies!

And time moves forward….having it’s wicked way with you……and there’s not a goddamn thing you can do about it.  EXCEPT…..do the work.  Do that thing that you were meant to do.  When you’re too old or sick or dying to do anything, you most likely will be asking yourself, “Did I do that thing? That thing I was meant to do?”  And dammit….I’m going be smiling in the end, because we will have done it.  Music is just about the only thing that has consistently moved me in this life, and if I can keep writing….playing…..holding up a sonic funhouse mirror to this beautiful, terrifying, confusing, ridiculous and awe-inspiring universe…..then I will have done that thing.

The Bugger’s Banquet album is coming together…..the heavy rock tracks we captured mid-tour in Arizona at Audioconfusion Studio are now intertwined with the songs that have come together here at Project: Garage Exile over the last month.  Drunken German Waltz…..Porn Folk……Disco Rock…..Stoner Metal Doom…..the new album is a bit of everthing Wizard Boots does best.  Hopefully we can finish it before the stupid world falls apart completely….

A couple of recent developements in the world of Wizard Boots:  We unfortunately have had to cancel our annual appearance at Grampyfest in Washington.  There’s simply too much going on with finishing Bugger’s Banquet, planning a new series of conceptual films AND…..we are very excited about an upcoming change in the band.  This time instead of someone leaving, we’re simply adding a new member.   The new line-up will debut at the end of October.  Stay tuned to this vibration for the latest!

So, you might be wondering what became of those nutty boys in the Wizard Boots band since they disappeared from the scene after the spring tour a couple of months ago.  Well….we’ve been living our lives….enjoying the parts that we enjoy and dealing with all the shit that keeps us from enjoying the above mentioned parts.  No progress was being made on finishing the new album, so to put things back on track I have relocated to living and working in the garage over here at The Rabbit Hole (aka: Peter’s residence).  It’s been interesting, humbling, fun, weird and productive so far.  We should be done with all the recording and mixing by the first week of October.  The album is still called “Bugger’s Banquet” it’s still the heaviest Wizard Boots album yet.   We’d love to release the whole new record on vinyl if we can afford to….or do a vinyl EP with extra songs to go along with the full CD release.  Whaddaya think?  Nothing definite yet…..no album cover or release dates…..we’ll let you know.

Also…..we’re playing at the annual GRAMPYFEST out in lovely Goldendale WA on Saturday October 13th!  If you’re a friend of the band and you’re cool and we know you………or if you’re an attractive single lady……contact us for details on this fabulous and exclusive event!

And onward we go into nature’s season of death…next week we begin remixing tracks for the upcoming retrospective audio project, “An Improper History…Five Years On Earth With Wizard Boots”.  This compilation will feature a few new recordings along with the very best from the first two out of print Boots albums, and hopefully we’ll have it ready sometime this December.  Plenty of other situations and surprises also on the horizon….a possible live in studio performance on local radio has been proposed…2012 U.S. Tour dates to be announced soon…and a vinyl EP of new material is in the works.  Also we’ve just added a FREE SHOW for Saturday December 3rd at The Twilight Cafe & Bar (just up Powell from The Aladdin Theater..) with Black Black Things and Stolen Rose….AND it must be time for Peter Rabbit’s annual birthday party!
